Shipping Information

Shipping & handling charges are automatically added to the total amount of the order based on weight.    We will only charge you what shipping actually costs.  Until we get the bugs worked out of our new shipping method, be assured you will be refunded any overpayment.  Oftentimes, a small order can be sent USPS rather than UPS, which may be less expensive, and shipping overcharges will be refunded. 

There are some products that ship free to the Lower 48 States, but not to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii or Internationally.  Some products are notated with a separate “Ship To” box that will calculate the correct shipping amount.   On products not notated with this box, customers outside the Lower 48 will be able to proceed with their orders with the understanding that we will have to call to collect more shipping monies.    We will not be able to process these orders until shipping payment is received.  Call or email before ordering to get a shipping quote.

 

Most products ship out within a few days, and if there is a delay with your order we’ll keep you posted.  Back ordered products will be shipped as soon as possible.  Sales tax is added to Wisconsin orders only.  Shipping is by our choice of carriers.  If you have a shipper preference or service, please email sales@thegarageproject.com

 

International Customers

International Customers may call 608-523-4709 or email sales@thegarageproject.com to get a shipping quote.   Canadian and International customers may find that when their order is delivered by carrier they are required to pay an extra customs fee or a duty fee. The shipping charge from The Garage Project Online only covers our part in getting your package(s) to your destination. We cannot be responsible for Canadian or International Customs Fees, Taxes, Import Fees, or Duties.  Please be aware of this and the fact that you may need a customs broker.    International (other than Canada) packages always go US Post Office.  Packages to Canada may go US Post Office, where the taxes, fees, and duties may be less expensive than UPS, but the shipping cost on our end is much higher, which in turn will be passed on to the customer.   For more information on UPS Canada, please refer to this website:

Return Policy

GUARANTEE: We want you to be 100% satisfied with your order, so we offer a 100% money back guarantee. If you’re not satisfied with one of our products for any reason, just send it back to us in the same condition it was sent to you (with all the packaging intact) and we will accommodate your request for a refund. Shipping costs, either way, will not be refunded on returns.   All returns must have prior approval, which can be obtained by emailing sales@thegarageproject.com.    Items must be returned within 20 days of receipt of delivery.

Any damaged items must be reported to us within 24 hours in order for us to file a claim with the carrier.   Please save packaging and take pictures if possible to help us file the claim.    If an item is delivered by LTL Freight, please note the condition of the item(s) – you have the right to refuse delivery.  If you sign for a damaged delivery anyway, please have the driver notate all damage on the proof of delivery form. Again, please save packaging and take pictures.   There can be no returns or refunds on special orders or custom orders, such as reproduction or replica gas pumps, custom sized flooring, custom cut garage door screens, or anything with a personal logo applied.
